Congratulations Cast and Crew of Forever Love on your EIGHT awards from the Western Ontario Drama League Festival!
On May 15, 2025 Elmira Theatre Company performed Forever Love by Michael Grant as our entry into the annual Western Ontario Drama League Festival. The day began at 7am with a safety meeting and tour of the Bank Theatre in Leamington, ON, host of this year’s festival. The set crew then built our beautiful set from the ground up!
Lighting and Sound crew worked to integrate our tech designs into the Bank Theatre’s equipment, and when it all came together the set was incredible!
By 2:00 pm everything was ready to go and our actors, SM and ASM were able to run a full show in this space. It went very well, and a few surprises were planned for the actual performance. 🙂
At 8:00 pm our cast and crew put on the most wonderful performance of Forever Love. The audience loved it, there were tears and much laughter. The adjudicator shared some thoughts after the show, and it was clear she had been impressed. After a very long day, the crew once again rallied and tore everything down and packed it all away. By 11:30 pm the Bank Theatre had been returned to a blank slate, ready for the next theatre group to take over the following day. And it was time for a bit of celebration!
After all the theatres performed, on Sunday May 18 the adjudicator announced this year’s Western Ontario Drama League Festival Award winners… Elmira Theatre Company took home 8 awards!
