Emily Beattie – playing Alice

Emily is an actress based out of Guelph, Ontario. After starting out in theatre, Emily went on to study Acting for Media at George Brown College. She starred in her first film, Altar Boy, in August of 2019. This is Emily’s second performance with the Elmira Theatre Company having played Mary Snow in Salt-Water Moon last February. Emily is very excited to be working with the Elmira Theatre Company once again as Alice Burnham in The Drowning Girls

Ashley Grimshaw – playing Bessie

Ashley is an actor and singer who has been performing in community theatre since childhood and in the Kitchener/Waterloo area since 2019. She is very excited to be making her debut with Elmira Theatre Company in The Drowning Girls. Some of her previous credits include Mrs. White – Clue The Musical (Ayr Community Theatre), Ensemble – Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (RCMPI), Maisie – The Boyfriend, Pitti-Sing – The Mikado (Clearview Community Theatre). Ashley would like to thank Jake, Alice and the rest of her friends and family for their constant love and support!

Jaime Vandermolen – playing Margaret

Jaime is delighted to step back onto the stage again and make her acting return as Margaret Lofty. Past shows have included Elmira’s own Suburban Standoff, Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens (KWLT) & How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (SCP) to name a few. With her most recent endeavours as Director in An Ideal Husband (TCP), and Love Letters (TCP). Jaime would like to continue thanking her devoted family and husband for their committed support and enthusiasm. And a thank you to ETC for giving the stage and a voice for the victims and their families.
